Mrs. Recy Taylor a beautiful woman of a regal 91 years of age suffered a horror in 1944, that no woman should. According to news reports, Mrs Taylor (then 24 and married) was gang raped by a group of white men In Abbeville, Alabama while walking home from Church services.

"Two all white all men grand juries declined to bring charges." Those who committed such a horrific crime were never held accountable. Justice was never served.

Democratic State Representative Dexter Grimsley of Newville, Alabama has prepared a resolution on behalf of the State of Alabama . . . formally apologizing to Mrs. Taylor.
