Mechanical Engineer who has been in the natural material space for 7 years   Experience in material characterization, material processing, value-add material development, end-use applications   Left Sunstrand two years ago to pursue other industry interests and projects   Experience working with bamboo, flax, kenaf, and hemp in applications including textiles, non-wovens, wood composites, fiber composites, and paper   Mr. Flaherty currently runs PJF Design pfdesignlab.com where he helps clients develop new and innovative bio-materials and products and assists with the required processing equipment to do so.   Currently represents Tatham equipment, an industrial scale decortication line.
