The Inkwell Lounge

In this week's community interview (and the latest in the Emerging Illumineers series) I spent some time sitting down with Jim, or as he's known in the Disney Lorcana community - UninkableJim. He and I talked some about his background, his passion for the game, how he's brought some of his marketing experience to building his content and some of what he's looking forward to with Hyperia City.

I've been working on a project lately that I'd like to share with the community and get their feedback. I've been creating content for Disney Lorcana for almost 3 years now and have had chats with community members for almost 90 episodes now, including lots of other content creators.

There's been so much valuable insight from them and some of my own experience that I wanted to share that back with the community as something actionable they could use to either get started creating or improve what they're already doing.

So, as a teaser and to gather the interest level, I put together a free "starter kit" to help get the ball rolling. You can grab yours by signing up over on http://cc.inkwelllounge.com!

In this week's community interview I was fortunate enough to have (almost) all of the Rules of Villainy podcast crew to talk about their CCQ coming up next week - The Cauldron Cup! We talked all about how the event started, the roles of each person on the team, the moment they found out it qualified for being a CCQ, and all of the work that goes in behind the scenes to make it work.

You can find out more about the Cauldron Cup happening October 9th through 11th in Fairview Heights, Illinois on the event's website at https://thecauldroncup.com.

In this week's community interview, I talked with another Disney Lorcana content creator who - while being somewhat new - is already exploding on to the scene in a big way. This week I talked with Josh, one of the main people behind the Lorcana Crew. We talked all about his own experiences with the game, how he's evolved as a content creator even in just the short time he's been active, and even looked forward to Hyperia City a bit.

In this video, I asked some of my fellow members of the Disney Lorcana content creation community to provide me with a quick video sharing one of their best tips for people either thinking about getting into content creation or wanting to level up their game and they didn't disappoint!

In this week's community interview, I sat down to talk with Dom, probably known better on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube as "@XMarksTheLore". We talk some about both his short form and long form content, what it's like trying to bridge the gap, and his big goal right now of being a caster, maybe even at the DLC level someday.

It's finally time for the North America National Championships happening this week at Disneyland in Anaheim, California! I just wanted to give a quick look into some of the things to expect from the event and how I'm prepping as a content creator. If you'll be there, definitely say "hi" - I'd love to meet you! You'll be able to spot me doing interviews out on the floor.

This week I got a chance to catch up with one of my previous guests - someone many Disney Lorcana players will recognize - that has just started up a brand new channel, The Lore College - Mr Burns. He and I talked some about this new channel and spent most of the time talking through some decks he sees as the most viable for the Vine meta and ones you just might see at the upcoming Championships.

In this week's episode I got a chance to sit down with one of the more well-known members of team Malestrom and competitive player, Logan - who you may know better as Xenulous. He and I talk some about what brought him to the game, how he approaches the competitive side of the game and even some ideas about what the meta might look like moving forward post-rotation and in Attack of the Vine.
