Book Selection: The Inn at Netherfield Green by Aurora Rey

The big sigh episode! Lauren inherits a distant uncle’s Bed & Bar and moves across the pond with a multi-tiered revenge plan to start her own advertising agency. Cam is a small town, gin distiller who hates change, marketing and Lauren. Cam needs help launching her new product and Lauren knows revenge is a dish best served with a small batch, locally distilled gin. Count Sarah’s sighs as we talk combative romance, British food and pulling an Ellen.

SUMMARY: Lauren is a NYC marketing exec wrongfully fired from her job. When she inherits an Inn and Pub in the English Countryside, she plans to flip it for a profit to start her own advertising agency. Cam is a malcontent living in a carriage house on her parents property and working at the family distillery. Cam is controlling, abrasive and very protective of the property Lauren inherits. More compromise than chemistry, this love story may lack romance and tenderness but it is full of gin-soaked hate-fucking. Blah. Blah. Blah. They live happily ever after but we were very sad. Lauren, you deserved better.
