Immunotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that helps your immune system fight cancer. In the last 10 years, immunotherapy has joined the list of standard cancer treatment approaches, alongside chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. There are a number of different types of immunotherapies that work in different ways to target cancer cells in the body.
