The INSERT CLEVER & WITTY NAME HERE Podcast

This week we're discovering what Matthew McConaughey smells like, realizing the health benefits of rollercoasters (especially if you have kidney stones), going over the top-ten family friendly vacation destinations in the USA, trying to figure out why everyone hates Joe Buck and deciding if AARP is right for... well... ME!

This week we're helping Major League Baseball adopt a new standard when it comes to naming team mascots, figuring out if men gossip more than women, diving into the Olympics and spending some time talking up my "new friends" at The Creative Center in Visalia.

This week we're celebrating MTV's 40th, dishing on the social media worthiness of food, checking off another box on the Armageddon Bingo Card, trying to figure out "the happiest (and second most expensive) place on earth" and wondering if close family members and friends can still let you know they're around after they've left us -- and how they'd do it.  Let's go!

This week, on "The INSERT CLEVER & WITTY NAME HERE Podcast," we're talking insecurities.  Insecurities tied to friends and family, social media and competition at the highest level.  We'll also take a look at what it really means to be a team player as i also continue to manage the loss of my dad.  Let's dig in!

This week (3:37) we're talking West Nile Virus with Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency epidemiologist, Sharon Minnick, and (32:05) finding out the lengths one woman went through to get something back that meant the world to her.

Britney Spears needs someone to keep on eye on her money.  Yet Mike Tyson can fork over millions on a tub.  Go and figure!  We'll take a look at some of the oddest things celebrities have spent their $$ on.  We'll also take a long, hard listen to what ESPN's Stephen A. Smith recently said about Major League Baseball phenom, #ShoheiOhtani.  Man, did he get THAT wrong!  And we'll try to answer the question, would you (as a 9-year-old girl) want your own dog or spend a weekend at "the happiest place on earth."  Decisions, decisions!

My dad passed away last week after a brief fight with meningitis brought on by West Nile.  I had a special relationship with him.  He was the "best man" at my wedding.  This week, i'd like you to get to know the dad i knew -- the dad i'll always love.

We now know my dad has West Nile Virus.  What does that mean and what comes next?  Well...

Plus i'll also have an update for you on the condition of my dad. It looks like he's getting better every day.

THANK YOU for all the prayers and well-wishes! "Dad" is currently being treated at UCSF. It's where he needs to be right now. I just wish he didn't have to be there.
