This week we're helping Major League Baseball adopt a new standard when it comes to naming team mascots, figuring out if men gossip more than women, diving into the Olympics and spending some time talking up my "new friends" at The Creative Center in Visalia.

This week we're celebrating MTV's 40th, dishing on the social media worthiness of food, checking off another box on the Armageddon Bingo Card, trying to figure out "the happiest (and second most expensive) place on earth" and wondering if close family members and friends can still let you know they're around after they've left us -- and how they'd do it.  Let's go!

Smith recently said about Major League Baseball phenom, #ShoheiOhtani.  Man, did he get THAT wrong!  And we'll try to answer the question, would you (as a 9-year-old girl) want your own dog or spend a weekend at "the happiest place on earth."  Decisions, decisions!

My dad passed away last week after a brief fight with meningitis brought on by West Nile.  I had a special relationship with him.  He was the "best man" at my wedding.  This week, i'd like you to get to know the dad i knew -- the dad i'll always love.

We now know my dad has West Nile Virus.  What does that mean and what comes next?  Well...

Plus i'll also have an update for you on the condition of my dad. It looks like he's getting better every day.
