The InstaGrad2020 Movement With Dr. Tayari Kuanda
Dr. Tayari Kuanda was born in Detroit MI. He is the sixth of seven children (four boys and three girls). Though he grew up in poverty in Detroit, he credits the love of family and divine blessings for enabling him to transcend the troubles of the inner city. At the age of 15, he chose to accompany his mother and youngest sister to South Central Los Angeles as they sought a new life. Again, it was blessings and the love of family that enabled him to navigate through the violence, poverty, homelessness, and detriments of another of America’s most challenging cities. As a result, he was the first of his family to graduate high school. He graduated from Los Angeles Crenshaw High School in 1989.
