What does Jesus see in our everyday words that we often miss?In Matthew 5:33–37, Jesus confronts the games we play with language—the half-truths, exaggerations, empty promises, and carefully worded escape clauses we use to protect ourselves. He reminds us that there is no part of life outside the presence of God. Every word matters, because every word reveals something about the heart from which it came.In this message, we explore why Jesus tells His followers to let their “Yes” be yes and their “No” be no. A whole heart does not need to support its words with elaborate promises. It speaks truthfully, consistently, and without manipulation.We also look at the faithfulness of God, whose promises never fail.
