This summer, California's boundary-pushing post-metal band Deafheaven will be releasing their long awaited fourth record, Ordinary Corrupt Human Love, on ANTI- records (July 13th). The band will be out on the road for the rest of this year touring the new material. Catch them when they come through your neck of the woods.

I had a beer with Deafheaven singer George Clarke behind Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre the last time they were in my hometown. We watched a rat gang war erupt in the alley as we sipped local brews and I teased George, complaining about how long Deafheaven songs tend to be--too long for radio edits!
