Vancouver's latest experimental post punk buzz band Freak Heat Waves is actually from Victoria on Vancouver Island. There are a lot of stereotypes about people from the Island (that they are all stoners). Steve (guitar/vocals) and Thomas (drums) from the band did nothing to dispel those rumors when we hung out in their van one rainy night.
