This is the first of a two part sermon on the adventures of Paul in the city of Philippi. This Sunday, we are introduced to an extraordinary woman by the name of Lydia. She is one of those women whose leadership and sacrifices were critical to the spread of the Gospel. Once again in the book of Acts, significant barriers are crossed as God leads his followers into unexpected ways.

A good question to ask as we study this text is, “How do I know God’s will?”
