TELL THE WORLD

The Iran war: what it means as human beings

Listen Later

n this episode of Tell The World Podcast, we step back from politics and look at the human side of war. As of March 8, 2026, the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has intensified, with continuing airstrikes, Iranian retaliation, leadership upheaval inside Iran, and major disruption to global oil flows. Reuters reports that oil has surged past $100 a barrel, and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has been heavily affected, showing how a regional war can quickly touch everyday life around the world.

But beyond headlines, maps, and military language, this episode asks a deeper question: What does war do to the human spirit? When nations fight, ordinary people pay the price — families lose loved ones, children grow up in fear, entire communities live with uncertainty, and the rest of the world feels the emotional, financial, and moral weight of it too. Reports also show the conflict spreading pressure across the Gulf and wider Middle East, increasing the risk of a broader regional crisis.

This episode is about more than geopolitics. It is about human life, human pain, human responsibility, and human dignity. It challenges us to think about what kind of world we are building when violence becomes the language of power.
