We are officially under a month away from the start of the NHL! With camps getting rolling and news still breaking, there was plenty for Jason and Frank to get to on a fresh edition of the podcast.

To start, they talked about some of the rookie camps going on around the league and if there are any teams we should be keeping an eye on. That eventually turned into a conversation about the Anaheim Ducks and Trevor Zegras, who is still sitting without a contract as the regular season creeps closer. Frank gave us an update on that situation and Gregor talked about how ridiculous it will be if he doesn’t get a long-term deal soon.

They also dug into the Jake Sanderson extension that broke last week. The Senators defenseman got himself a nice $62 million guaranteed before ever playing in his 100th career NHL game. Was this a good deal for both sides? The guys debated it.

They also talked about a pair of interesting goalie situations from both conferences and whether or not there will be some teams scouring the waiver wire for help between the pipes when training camps conclude.

Tyler also popped in for a new edition of Buy or Sell where he asked the guys about the Florida Panthers, Auston Matthews, Tage Thompson, and an interesting head-to-head bet on Betano.
