Girls and women did prostitution in Ishtar temple as the highest form of worship. But this doesn't mean that you are forced to do so in the Magi society. There are prople who chose monogamy, and we think those people are necessary too. So there are homes of families around the temple and there are families who just pay a visit. The kids belong to mothers, mothers can leave them to the custody of temple, or raise them themselves or chose a combination of both ways.
