You may have heard the phrase that “no one is an island.” As we continue in our sermon series “Unafraid,” we are tackling some of our greatest fears, one of which is isolation and loneliness. Whether we admit it or not, every single one of us has experienced loneliness or feared being lonely at some point. While we all need some solitude, there’s a difference between solitude and loneliness, and loneliness has reached epidemic levels in our culture. In the midst of loneliness it’s hard to know where to turn, but it’s clear from research and Scripture alike that we have to turn somewhere; our lives might just depend on it.
