The Ivory Glower

Shortly after the pandemic began, a friend of mine passed away. I'd known him for a little over 20 years. I hadn't seen him nearly as much as I should have in that time. I had a few thoughts about this.

Thank you all so much for taking this janky journey with me. I don't have a ton to say except yeah, this one's about Hellraiser, about horror in general a bit, and about thinking too much about horror thematics. It's also about how I shouldn't write Rick and Morty Episodes and also I kind of say bye for now.

Back after a lengthy hiatus! Second to last episode probably. We talk about the two "competitors" above as well as some Oscar stuff and also privilege!

In  which we shame the new Marvel offering Wandavision and talk about the comic/tv show Preacher.

Some sub-topics: corporate entertainments, psychology, In Treatment, lipsticks and pigs, A24

In which we discuss the super clown duo rappers from good 'ol Detroit, Michigan, so probably when Jack White goes home to Detroit, he hangs out with them. Ooh, Detroiters is a good show. Sneak attack episode description recommendation!

Nostradamus is still on vacation. You might say he's in occlusion. Some sub-topics: outsider art, First Man, Promising Young Woman, Eighth Grade, Austenland, and personal experiences with Juggalos.

Hey, long time no pontificate!

Nostradamus takes a vacation, a new toots/boots segment, and a lot less venom I hope. Brief mentions of 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Lobster, Charlie Kaufman, and Queen's Gambit.

True to form, this episode marks the beginning of "big changes" to the podcast: basically my trying to be less repetitive and less of a jerk.

Welcome to Season 2! I will be discussing media that portrays the  afterlife this season, by comparing two pieces each episode and then  applying that analysis to show why The Good Place is the worst.

Synthesizing all the previous episodes! Nostradamus throws shade on me! Oh, the usual crap!

Probably the most important bit is where I say I might be on hiatus for a while!

The thunder has gone out of me, which shoot, I wanted to talk more about in the actual podcast but will just put here: wow it was so so exciting in the beginning, but all things must fade I suppose!

I'll keep looking for a way to get my freshness back, but until then, take care now!
