The Jack Saloon (Lumber Jack)

Listen Later

Mike and Sam hit the road for another Montana backroad adventure on Barstools & Backroads — this time making their way to the legendary Lumberjack Saloon (“The Jack”) in Lolo, Montana. Built in 1974 from five massive cedar logs by a group of lumberjacks looking for a place to unwind after work, The Jack has become one of Montana’s most iconic destination bars.

The guys sit down with owners Stephanie and Kyle to talk about the highs, headaches, and humor that come with bar ownership, while sharing stories about what makes The Jack more than just a roadside stop. TikTok-famous Danno joins the crew as well, bringing plenty of laughs, stories, and absolute chaos to the table.

The episode dives into everything from Coors Light somehow becoming a tax write-off, to the origin of the legendary “10-12” golf cart name, and the push to officially name the indoor music venue the “10-12 Stage.” They also explore the 22 acres of outdoor fun surrounding The Jack — camping, golf carts, live music, and the kind of atmosphere you only find deep in Montana backroad country.

Join Mike and Sam for another unforgettable episode of Barstools & Backroads as they spotlight the people, stories, and legendary watering holes that make Montana special.
