It was a heartwarming experience to see all the fine folks come together June 10th at the Festival of Hope, to contribute to The Jackson County Cancer Fund. There were inflatables, a dunking booth, cake walk, great food, live music, guest speakers, silent auction, and so much more. Mickey,Minnie, and Goofy were in attendance for some cool photo ops. (Pictures will be posted on appalachianimagination.com)
The children all had a good time playing, while the adults ate their bellies full, conversed with one another, and listened to the beautiful music being made. A few folks shared their stories with us and told us a few of the many good things the JCCF has done for people in the community. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100075985271518&mibextid=LQQJ4d The Jackson County Cancer Fund P.O. Our hearts truly go out to anyone who has to suffer with cancer. Amy lost her father (Robert Hormilla) to stomach cancer this year. Amy said "Attending and contributing was a nice way to honor the memory of her dad."
We thank God for the fine people who came together for a worthy cause to benefit, something bigger than themselves!
We thank you for listening, and hope this encourages you to give to the JCCF or any other charity that helps people dealing with cancer. If you can't give remember them in your prayers, or possibly donate some of your time.
