In this sermon, I reflected on the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk and interpreted these events through the lens of unchanging biblical Truth. I explored how culture is already responding across a wide spectrum—from secular media analysis to the church’s call to faith—and what these responses reveal about the deeper spiritual battle taking place.

I warned that we must not miss the bigger picture: these events are signs of the times. Scripture tells us that persecution will increase, love will grow cold, and the return of Jesus Christ is drawing near. This message is a call to prepare our hearts, to stay awake, and to be ready—not only for the reality of persecution—but for the glorious second coming of our Lord.

What about the churches who said nothing? How should we think about that? What about the megachurch pastors who chose to play to “both sides” in this aftermath, as if there were such a thing in light of martyrdom? Is comfort and compromise revealing idols in the church?

This episode challenges believers to examine the contrast between the shifting narratives of our age and the eternal truth of God’s Word, and to anchor themselves firmly in the hope and courage that only the gospel provides.

In “Ripe for Renewal,” preached on October 27, 2024, Jenna unpacks the biblical call to repentance and fresh obedience.

Renewal, she explains, is not just about trying harder but about recognizing when God is calling His people into a new season of life and deeper faith. Just as fruit ripens on the vine and must be harvested in its proper season, so too hearts become ready for renewal when the Spirit convicts, softens, and calls. Often, we see this invitation for renewal occur in times of cultural or relational tumult, where times of uncertainty and instability can bring about a holy desperation for God to move and to act in our lives and in our world.

Jenna draws from the prophets’ repeated refrain—“Return to me, and I will return to you” (Malachi 3:7)—to show that God has always invited His people to begin again. Renewal isn’t something we engineer; it’s something God brings when His Word and Spirit meet us in our weakness. She also reminds us of Paul’s words: “Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).

Quoting A.W. Tozer, Jenna highlights that “God is always previous”—that is, God Himself initiates renewal long before we ever respond. This truth reframes renewal not as a human project but as a divine gift, available to every believer who surrenders to His timing.

For everyday disciples, this message is both a comfort and a challenge. It’s a comfort because no life is too worn or too broken for God’s renewing power. It’s a challenge because ripe fruit doesn’t stay ripe forever—when the Spirit calls us to repentance and renewal, we must respond in faith.

What if our culture’s obsession with beauty is really a misplaced hunger for God? As G.K. Chesterton once said, “Every man who knocks on the door of a brothel is looking for God.” Behind every distorted pursuit of beauty lies a deeper longing: to behold the eternal, to be known, and to be loved.

Scripture reveals that beauty is not a commodity to be consumed but a glory to be reflected—rooted in God’s image, shaped by holiness, and fulfilled in Christ. Far from being harsh, His words reveal God’s protective love for both marriage and for vulnerable spouses who were often discarded and left without hope.

In this teaching, Jenna unpacks Jesus’ words with biblical clarity and pastoral care. She explores how marriage reflects the covenant relationship between Christ and His church, why God’s design is for faithfulness, and how grace meets us in the broken places of life. What does it mean that you were made “in the image of God”? In this teaching, Jenna traces the Imago Dei from Genesis 1:26–27 through the New Testament to show that every person carries innate dignity, a royal-priestly calling, and a redeemable design.

You’ll see why the image isn’t about appearance but representation—we’re created to reflect God’s character into the world and reflect the world’s praise back to God (see Psalm 8).
