Republicans need to wake up. Across the country, the story is the same- Democrat turnout is up, Republican turnout is down. Illinois, specifically, is completely lost. Ignore the current blue wave at your own peril. The turnout numbers tell a story, an that story doesn’t end with Republicans holding both houses of Congress in November. The lies put forth by the Illinois governor in this primary have effectively shredded any chance he has at reconstructing a conservative base of support in the general election. The only difference between Illinois Republicans and machine Democrats: Dems won’t eat their own unless forced to.
