Welcome to todays where I explore my experience of burnout mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. My old habits to handle life was to pop a pill, avoid, numb and just "get on with it."
I explore symptoms of burnout which can be presenting itself to you as feeling drained, wired, hypersensitive, anxiety, numbness and/or overwhelmed. In todays society we are constantly living in a quick fix, fast paced masculine driven and rewarded world of hyper doing, yo-yoing and juggling our many roles of trying to survive and chase results. Things may be feeling like they are weighing us down more and more which is taking a toll on our Nervous Systems which can create an impact on our bodies on so many levels and play havoc on our well-being. Some of us have learned to "handle" our day to day stresses with distractions and addictive behaviours to chase dopamine responses to mask what is perhaps going on or lacking in our lives.
I share my truths, tips and hacks for exploring, preventing, processing and healing methods around burnout. It all begins with compassion, bringing awareness to where we are at and taking the microsteps to make small changes that can have a bigger impact overtime. Learning how to balance between the 'doing' and 'being' so we can tune into our needs and begin to dance with life. It is truly time for us to reclaim our power and nurture ourselves with forgiveness, kindness, responsibility and love.
