The Journey of Self Love through Self Care - Gary Albert - Music Transformation Coach & Therapist
In today's episode I am joined by Gary Albert, a multi-award-winning composer and performer who creates immersive music and sonic experiences to transport and transform. His training includes The Purcell School, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed alongside Judi Dench at the Royal Albert Hall for Stephen Sondheim's 80 Birthday Prom, performed solo with Queens’ Brian May at the same venue, and composed the score for the E4 TV series ‘Playing It Straight’.
Gary and I connected originally through a therapy session I took with him where he creates music for insight, transformation and healing. In that alchemy healing session I really made huge shifts for me in my reality.
Gary has always had a fascination since childhood with the universe, energy, crystals and more despite growing up in the 'norm' with his family. He grew up in a rough estate in the 80's with addiction in the family. He fell in love with playing the flute after watching one school performance and began his music love which was the most dramatic turning point of his life to date, lifting him up and out of a pathway that could have gone very very differently. Gary's theatrical side was influenced by his Grandma and encouraged by his Mum, creating a fusion of creations in his performances.
In the past 14 years Gary moved away from the party drug scene and his life changed and shifted into a holistic therapist, including training as a kinesiologist & hypnotherapist. We cover living with ADHD, trauma wounds, Grief, multipotentialites, natural HIGHS, going against the 'norm,' and following our hearts to do what makes us happy.
