Good News

Culture Secretary Andy Burnham revealed a £2.5 million programme to be funded by the Arts Council has been set up to encourage young people to experience live theatre.

The focus will be on some 95 venues all over England.

Each will offer a proportion of the tickets for arts productions on the same night every week - free - to anyone under 26 years old.

The scheme will start in February 2009 with an initial goal of providing a million free tickets by March 2011. Theatres taking part will have to guarantee free seats for young people across the whole two-year period.

Neech has made it to the final round in the People's Music Awards with the song Train Girl. The guest judges put it through on not 1, but 3 categories! RnB/ Funk/ Soul, Pop, and Best Female Solo Artist. GOOD TIMES!!!

Known to the locals as 'Sam the Wheels Opens his first Exhibition at the 198 Contemporary arts and Learning in Herne Hill this month. after over 5 decades he's finally being recognised as an artist at 80yrs of age.
