Joseph Reid is the founder of Broken-people.org and the author of Broken Like Me An Insider’s ToolKit for Mending Broken People.
Broken People is a mental health peer support group that is online based and helps people in over 40 countries to get help when they are in moments of “feeling broken.”
With the suicide of his dear friend, and learning from his own mental health journey Joseph took massive action in helping others that may feel broken.
His story really touched me because he uses terms that some people wouldn’t align with when it comes to describing where they are, or how they feel.
I’m touched that he decided, and is here with us on this planet to help others.
We discuss boundaries and how sometimes folks that lean towards celebrating our empathic sides we have trouble turning the volume down on our empathy, especially when it comes to interacting with “toxic people”.
This episode is an awakener and if it speaks to you, or if you feel that you are looking for someone to connect with and work with to aid yourself in loving yourself the way you deserve, visit Joseph’s website: https://www.broken-people.org/
