In this episode, Jon and Tim interview three ultra-marathon runners from Carlisle, Pa. They all have their own unique story to tell about how they got into ultra running.
But don't worry, this episode isn't about proper fueling strategies, the right footwear, or proper mechanics. So if you aren't a runner, you'll still learn something.
They talk about the mental game of preparing for a major life event, the grind in the middle of it all, and the outcome of all the hard work.
Jen Gregoris is a two time 100 mile ultra-marathon finisher, as well as a teacher, mother, and wife. Read Jen's full race recap here. And follow along with her running journeys on facebook here.
Brett Wiley just completed is first 100 miler and is also a father, husband, as well as running his own podcast. It's called the Bench Time podcast and you can find that at HO Scale Customs. You can also read Brett's complete race recap here.
Linda Reilly ran in the Pinhoti 100 mile ultra-marathon recently and has the amazing opportunity to work at one of the best local running stores around. She runs every race for a purpose and for people. It's all about bringing awareness to various causes. She will be sharing about the dramatic ending to her 100 miles.
All three of them ran this last 100 mile race for a cause. They will be sharing about that and what it means to them and their families. They are still accepting donations to the charity that they are supporting. PLEASE consider it! You can find that here.
Also, if you want your children to listen, it's mostly clean. We might have said "shit" once or twice. Rules say we have to put the "E" for even stuff like that.
