Helping Someone You Love
When someone we love is struggling, our desire to help comes from a place of deep care. Offering support becomes an act of love, reflecting the grace and compassion God calls us to embody. In these moments, we must remember that true help often requires patience, wisdom, and prayerful discernment.
Galatians 6:2 reminds us, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." Helping someone may involve offering a listening ear, providing practical assistance, or simply being present in their time of need. While our instinct may be to "fix" everything, sometimes the greatest gift we can give is our understanding and encouragement.
Pray for them earnestly, entrusting their burdens to God, who knows their heart and situation far better than we do. James 5:16 tells us, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Through prayer, we align our intentions with God's will and gain strength to support our loved ones with grace.
Let love guide your actions, and trust that your efforts, no matter how small, are meaningful. By being a vessel of God's kindness, you remind them they are not alone—neither in their struggles nor in their walk with Christ.
