RyAnne can hardly believe she's been rescued. And yet there is the Captain, kneeling before her and asking her to be his wife. But before returning to Zanzibar, they hope to find Khalifa's partners in illegal slave trading and bring them to justice.
Upon reaching Bagamoyo, Trent makes sure RyAnne is tucked away safely in an inn as he pursues the criminals. Before long, he's trailing an unexpected suspect in the thriving slave entrepôt that holds perils he couldn't have foreseen.
When RyAnne stumbles across a vital piece of evidence in Khalifa's missives from his wife, she breaks her promise - well, she didn't really promise - to stay in her room and rushes headlong into danger. Danger that this time might be too much to overcome.
A thrilling historical romance from the time of missionary explorer David Livingstone.

Wonderful series. Enjoyed them all!
What a wonderful ending to this series. Captain Dawson and RyAnne certainly know how to have adventures you'd never dream of. Ms Bonner did such a great job on this series. The characters are great and it's easy to picture yourself in Africa as you hear the roar of the lions and walk through the tall grasses. The sixth episode of the Spice Isles pulled the other five episodes together very well.
Awesome series !
I have a hard time finding good Christian historical fiction that isn't cheesy or trite. This series was well written and interesting, and kept me engaged from the first page . I especially loved the romantic chemistry between RyAnne and the Captain. The way our faith was woven throughout was the icing on the cake . Looking forward to more from this author .
I enjoyed the whole series. Recommend to those who love history and biblical principles
Enjoyed whole series. Recommend to those who enjoy history and biblical principles. It will answer questions to some doubts that you might have in your own walk with the Lord.
Great book!
Wonderful ending for an excellent series! If I had an issue with this book it would be that it was way short.
Spice Isle Series is a must read!
These were very good books addressing a topic that is still difficult at best. I found myself wishing there were more chapters to each book. It is so hard to imagine people treating each other so despicably yet we know it truly happened and much worse. Hard to read some accounts without many tears. I feel the series left me with the desire to do something to help the slave trade of our generation end. Unfortunately it is alive and flourishing. God must constantly have tears in His eyes. Keep writing and challenging us to better our own corner of the world Ms Bonner
