For our 25th podcast, listen to 15-year-old Oriana Deng read and discuss her brilliant piece, "Joy Doesn't Care," in conversation with Intuitive Writing Project founder, Elizabeth Perlman.

Oriana's writing was inspired by the poem we read in class, Joy Chose You by Donna Ashworth. Paradoxically, although the narrative itself explores sadness and the fleeting nature of joy, we also talk about how fun and cathartic it is to express ourselves on paper, especially when we're processing emotions.
