In today's episode, Bethany interviews Jennifer Harris Dault about the joys of having a transgender child. This original interview took place in 2023, when Joyfully Queer first began. Since this was recorded, federal attacks on trans people – particularly kids – have been nonstop. This past April, child abuse prevention month, the president of the United States issued a declaration by Executive Order. In this order, he insisted that the worst form of abuse was supporting trans kids with gender-affirming care. He pledged to end care for trans kids and vowed to punish “abusers” to the fullest extent of the law. Because of this, Jennifer's family is moving to the EU.
