In today's episode of The JRitis Podcast, Joyce and Rie sit down with their small group leader Kate Lee and friend Kevin Lee to talk about dating in high school and everything in between. The girls asked Kate and Kevin questions from listeners they received on Instagram, so the girls hope that this episode will be beneficial to those who are thinking about dating for the first time, currently in a happy relationship, or even re-evaluating their current relationships as much of the advice shared can also be applied to friendships.  

This week, Joyce talks all about her "coming of age" experiences and everything she encountered that shaped her character. Joyce expresses her opinions on relevant struggles teenagers go through, as well as lessons she learned. Being a teen in 2020 is confusing and hard! 2020 will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most historical years with the Coronavirus pandemic and the war between Trump and Biden in the 2020 election. Joyce and Rie, both 17-years-old, are one age below the minimum age requirement to vote in such a crucial year, but their passion for social justice and activism is not limited to an age requirement. Although the girls are not legally allowed to vote, they are both registered already to vote in the next election, and they wanted to dedicate a special episode to remind you to register and vote this year if you are able to! If you are younger than the required age, there is still so much you can do, such as educating and reminding older people in your life to vote. The girls also take the time to discuss their opinions on the race to the White House and one of the most embarrassing presidential elections in history. Not to mention as well, this episode was recorded a little over 24 hours after news of Trump being diagnosed with COVID-19. What an interesting time to be alive! But no matter what, the most important duty as an American citizen is to stay informed and participate whenever you can. Hopefully, this episode will inspire and motivate you to vote and to keep fighting the good fight.
