The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling published in 1894. This is a collection of short stories and not just the single, popular tale of Mowgli being sent out of the jungle to the man village. You will still hear familiar voices such as Baloo the bear, Bagheera the Jaguar, and Shere Khan the tiger and also be introduced to many new, wonderful characters. In this, part two, of Kaa's Hunting, we find Kaa ready to eat as he joins Baloo and Bagheera to rescue Mowgli. A wonderful row with the monkeys ensues and we become witness to the power a python has over the animals of the jungle. Enjoy.
