We're back for episode 103, and this week we have a special guest; Macca Greene from Grip Runner!
This week we talk about Macca's extensive car history, flaccid gear shifters, the best driving roads in S.E. Queensland.
We then talk about Grip Runner and how it came to be. Grip Runner is an automotive YouTube channel, specialising in automotive culture in Brisbane, as well as an online publication.
Matt then cuts in and has a rant about people drifting past his house most Friday nights, which turns into a great discussion about the endless battle between the underground drift/grip scene, governments and police, and 'the media', as well as racetrack noise restrictions.
We then talk about Lakeside's latest issues, mounting fines, and noise complaints threaten the track's existence, before talking about the Grip Runner crew and their cars.
We then all argue about Gone In 60 Seconds original Vs the Nicholas Cage one, and the Need For Speed movie.
Mitch then talks about the Toyota Corolla Hybrid Ascent Sport he's got in for review from Toyota Australia. Video review coming soon! We then talk about the Toyota 86 and why it's better than an S-Chassis.
Matt then wants to do something weird, and ask us a few questions inspired by our podcast friends 'Knackers in the Breeze'. The first question he asks is "What is the most enlightened car?" which gets us talking about how some cars have souls, and many don't. The next question Matt asks us is "Would you rather have to drive all day, every day, in a mini-van filled with soccer players warming up for a game, or, one cricket fan on a scooter explaining how great the 90's was?"
