Keys are designed to grant you access to something or

someplace valuable.

● Keys are not utilized to withhold something from

you...they are designed to hold something for you.

If you have a key, you can access the thing or place that

holds value.

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

New Century Version: Faith means being sure of the

things we hope for and knowing that something is real

even if we do not see it.

New Living Translation: Faith shows the reality of what

we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

Passion Translation: Now faith brings our hopes into

reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire

the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to

prove what is still unseen.

The Voice: Faith is the assurance of things you have

hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are

realities you’ve never seen.

The Message: The fundamental fact of existence is that

this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under

everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle

on what we can’t see.

Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please

Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,

and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek

Him.

● If God demands us to have faith when it is

impossible for us to have faith, then we have the

right to challenge His justice.

BUT, if He places within our hands the means faith can

be produced, then the responsibility falls on us whether

or not we have faith.

Rom. 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing

by the word of God.

James 2 faith without works is dead

Faith happens when your belief in what God has said

becomes strong enough to alter your actions.

● Someone asks Jesus to be the Lord of their life

because their belief in Romans 10 becomes strong

enough to alter their actions

● Someone lays hands on the sick because their

belief in Mark 16 becomes strong enough to alter

their actions.

● Someone tithes because their belief in Malachi 3

becomes enough for them to alter their actions.

Mark 11:22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have

faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says

to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’

and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those

things he says will be done, he will have whatever he

says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask

when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you

will have them.

● Faith will move mountains

● Faith receives what it believes

● Faith forgives

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all

things are possible to him who believes.”

● Faith opens to door to the impossible becoming

possible

Matt 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of

Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who

built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended,

the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that

house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

● Faith survives the storm
