Get Up …. Stand Up …. Get Dressed!

1 Peter 5:8, 9; Ephesians 6:10-20; Colossians 2:14, 15

Ephesians 6:10 – It’s His strength, received by Faith

Admit my weakness

Believe his promise (Hebrews 13:5; Isaiah 41:10)

Confess, connect with his provision (Philippians 4:13)

✸ “No need to always be looking for demons; but should be armed and ready to engage” (1 Peter 5:8, 9)

Ephesians 6:11 – Put on, by faith, the Full Armor (always; prerequisite for warfare)

Ephesians 6:12 – People are not our main problem: it’s the spiritual forces of evil and their agenda to deceive, steal, kill, destroy (John 8:44; John 10:10)

Ephesians 6:13 – Once we have taken the “whole Armor of God”, we are to withstand, resist (James 4:7) and stand (not run)!

✸ Remember, we have the Advantage! (Matthew 28:18; 1 John 4:4)

✸ See Colossians 2:14, 15

✸✸ The Best Defense that I have is for the enemy to see and know that I am Ready, Willing, and Able to Engage and Defend at all times!

Ephesians 6:14 – “The waist belt of Truth”: the core is the key: strength, leverage, balance!

Waist belt of truth: leverage, key to stance, other weapons connected; “core is key”

John 8:31, 32; John 17:17

First defense vs. methods of the evil one, the deceiver

“Wiles”; deceitful, methods

The Weapon of Truth vs. the lies of the enemy: Taking A Stand!

All-out assault by devil: still put on the armor and stand firm! (Ephesians 6:13; James 4:6, 7; 1 Peter 5:8, 9)

[“All hell” is still no match for “All heaven”: God’s Grace, God’s angels, and God’s people!]

This world’s culture: 1 John 5:19; John 8:44)

TRUTH: John 17:17 – Jesus said, “Thy Word is Truth”

We don’t get to re-define God’s standards!
