The King who Didn't Listen - 1 Samuel 15:1-11

Listen Later

Forgetfulness of God is an awful thing, especially for the King of God's people... and making up for it with a rash oath. just digs deeper!

Podcast Summary:

In 1 Samuel 15, Saul’s failure to fully obey God’s command led to his downfall. His story forces us to confront the seriousness of sin, the reality of God’s judgment, and the danger of selective obedience.

While Saul’s mission was to carry out divine justice, the New Testament makes clear that final judgment belongs to Jesus alone. Until He returns, our role is not to bring judgment but to proclaim the gospel—calling people to repentance before it’s too late.

Are we obeying that command? Or are we softening Scripture to fit our comfort? Join us as we wrestle with God’s justice, Christ’s mercy, and the urgent task of evangelism.
