The economics of our world relate value to supply and demand or equate value with cost. But the Kingdom works differently. What is the value of following Jesus? These parables of hidden treasure and a precious pearl, as Pastor Glenn Packiam demonstrates, are not about sacrifice but about joy. If we could see how great a treasure Jesus is, and what is being offered us in exchange for our whole lives, we would sell all and give ourselves glad over to gain Him.
