The Kingdom of God is Advancing!
Is the Kingdom of God advancing or is the church in decline?
Last night I was doing a little research on the internet. Christianity as a whole in the world is expanding, which confirms the kingdom is advancing! I thought, in America, church attendance was down and there is a mass exodus in the church, but that number is skewed because:
#1. It doesn’t account for the non-denominational churches not affiliated with a denomination.
#2. The number of evangelicals is on the rise. (click to read Ed Stetzer’s this article)
The Kingdom is Advancing!
This is good news because the Kingdom of God is expanding and advancing! People are redefining what church and Christianity means to them, and it’s being stripped of religion with a major shift toward relationship is on the rise. The church is growing!
New rules of the kingdom: 2 rules BELIEVE & LOVE
Love our enemy, love our neighbor, especially love our brothers and sisters in Christ.
1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
John 13:34 A new command I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
I believe the Lord showed me that we have recently come out of the movement of faith and are smack dab in the middle of the movement of grace. We need these God inspired movements! In order to understand love, we have to know grace. In order to know grace, we have to understand faith. We cannot skip this step of grace!
The next movement, as the body of Christ understands grace deeper, will be love. You can already see the world moving toward a movement of love too.
When we walk in love, then miracles will be the byproduct and the movement of the Kingdom of God will be established! Then as signs, wonders, and miracles are poured out, confirming His word is true, and God loves all people, there will be a massive revival! But we cannot get here without the church understanding grace and love.
So seeking first the kingdom of God means to seek first love. Let’s not seek miracles signs and wonders, let’s seek his love, then miracles, signs, and wonders will be fruit that follows.
