When we read about the Kingdom of God in the Bible, Jesus is often quoted as saying, "I am the King of the Kingdom." Many Christians have used this quote to show their appreciation for what Jesus has said. But there is a problem with that understanding. The Greek word for King means "leader," while the Hebrew word for King means "lord." So, while Jesus is the leader of the kingdom of God, it doesn't mean that the leaders of that kingdom are also the King of the United States.
