The Kingdom Truth

In this most powerful and blessed episode, Rev. Dr. William Dixon candidly shares how the Lord helped him to recognize the call on his life. He also shares his deep passion and love for families in crisis and end of life events.

Dr. Dixon addresses these questions:

What do you do when God does not answer your prayers for your loved ones the way you would have hoped for?

Why do people of faith and some religious leaders struggle the most when it comes to saying good bye to loved ones?

What is good dying?

Dr. Dixon was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. He is the oldest of ten children. He was raised by a single mother. He remembers his mother sending them to church as children. At the time, the church was walking distance from their home. At about the age of nine, a minister introduced him to Jesus Christ. Although he stopped attending church, nevertheless, during his senior year in high school, he started attending church regularly.

At about the age of 26, Dr. Dixon recommitted his life to Christ and was baptized. He lived in San Antonio, Texas for awhile, but eventually moved back to Virginia in the 1990s. Dr. Dixon answered the call to ministry and was licensed in 1992. He was ordained in 2001 and served as assistant pastor for 8 years.

Dr. Dixon is a compassionate and seasoned spiritual care leader. He has over 30 years of ministerial service and more than a decade of experience as a board-certified professional chaplain. Most recently he served as the Palliative Care Chaplain at Inova Fairfax Medical Center, he provides critical support to patients and families navigating complex end-of-life decisions while leading interdisciplinary care teams in a high-acuity trauma setting.

With a deep passion for human connection, palliative care, and bioethics, Dr. Dixon has dedicated his life to walking alongside individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments. His clinical experience spans leading hospitals and hospice organizations, including Ohio State University (Wexner Medical Center), University of Virginia Medical Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he completed his chaplain residency in the Palliative Care Unit.

Dr. Dixon holds a Doctor of Ministry focused on end-of-life and pastoral care, a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Legal Studies in Bioethics. A contributing author to the Textbook of Palliative Care Communication, he is also trained in pediatric palliative care facilitation, ethics consultation, and crisis intervention.

Guided by empathy, advocacy, and ethical integrity, William Kevin Dixon continues to shape spiritual care with a focus on dignity, equity, and healing at life’s most sacred thresholds.

Dr. Dixon and his wife Chana co-authored the book WISH: While I'm Still Here The Goodbye I Get to Give. They have four beautiful daughters and two amazing grandchildren.

In this wonderfully, blessed episode, our beautiful young sister, Vivian Moyo shares her life's journey with us. Her story is truly amazing, and we believe the Lord will touch the hearts of many women through this episode!

She addresses these questions:

Do you have stored trauma in your body that is affecting your nervous system?

Are there generational curses and addictions in your life that come as a result of unhealed trauma?

Vivian Moyo was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa. She is the youngest child. She has five sisters and five brothers. Her mother passed away when Vivian was three years old. She never really knew her father. She was raised by her grandmother. Her grandmother was a Christian. She remembers singing hymns and praying with her grandmother. They attended a Methodist church.

At the age of eleven, they moved to the United Kingdom. At the church in the United Kingdom, she served as an usher. Also, she sang in the choir and served in the media and children departments.

After Vivian’s second miscarriage, she wanted to end her life. She was 25 years old. It was at that time she felt the presence and love of the Holy Spirit. The Lord assured her that it would get better.

Vivian Moyo is a trauma-informed coach, speaker, author, and founder of Moyo Wellness Therapy.

Moyo Wellness Therapy is a safe and compassionate space where women can begin their own recovery from childhood trauma. Through trauma-informed coaching, nervous system education, emotional healing, and identity rebuilding, Vivian supports women in moving beyond survival mode and building lives rooted in safety, confidence, hope, and purpose.

Alongside her coaching, she is the author of The Invisible Girl: Breaking the Silence of Trauma, where she shares her personal story to help others feel seen, understood, and less alone. She is also the host of the Moyo Wellness Therapy Podcast, where she explores topics including childhood trauma, nervous system regulation, emotional well-being, healing, relationships, and personal growth.

As someone with lived experience, she understands what it feels like to carry invisible wounds while trying to appear strong on the outside. Her healing journey taught her that recovery isn't about becoming someone different, it's about helping your nervous system feel safe, healing the emotional wounds of the past, and reconnecting with the person you were always meant to be.

In this truly touching and powerful episode, Mr. Jay shares his heart and years of professional training for anyone struggling with betrayal trauma.

He answers the questions:

Why is betrayal trauma so different from any other trauma?

How do we deal with internal and external emotional triggers after betrayal?

How do we deal with our demons and stop running from the pain?

Mr. Jay was raised with a faith background; however, Mr. Jay’s childhood was not fun or easy. His environment was full of toxicity and abuse.

Mr. Jay quit school in the sixth grade, and as a 12-year-old, he was hospitalized for acute stress. He moved out of his parents’ home at 14 years of age and started working two jobs as a grocery sacker.

Mr. Jay loved his dad and was close to him. But when he died suddenly, he began to experience panic attacks. The panic attacks sent him on a mission. His healing process began after he attended a betrayal trauma group. As he sought help for himself, the director encouraged him to start helping others struggling with trauma from betrayal.

After a decade of teaching, and another decade as a full-time stay-at-home dad, Mr. Jay was called into the mental health field. He now works as a Certified Betrayal Trauma Practitioner and Intrapersonal Relationship Coach. To serve his clients, Mr. Jay helps and supports each individual and/or couple move through the stages from betrayal to breakthrough. Mr. Jay helps his clients recognize that “with hard work, determination, and willingness, you can still have your happily EVEN after.”

Mr. Jay is the author of a betrayal trauma healing journal, “From Tears to Transformation.” He is a proud veteran of the United States military and an even more proud adoptive parent.

During his downtime, Mr. Jay enjoys roller skating, listening to music, officiating weddings, singing at local charities/events, public speaking, and watching an occasional guilty pleasure crime show. Mr. Jay is a family man and enjoys showing his children the beauty of life in New York. With all of his collective life experiences, Mr. Jay lives by the motto, “We are all beautifully broken, but even broken crayons can create masterpieces.”

David Lashley was born Columbus, Ohio and raised in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He is the oldest of three children. He was not raised in a Christian home.

However, when his brother was in middle school, he got into trouble. His parents would send his brother to church with the neighbors. David watched his brother. He saw the changes, and he noticed his brother was a little different.

The neighbors that David’s brother went to church with were his wife’s family. He had known his wife all his life. They started dating when they were around 14 years old. He then started going to church with her. He got saved. They have been married for 35 years.

David started working as a court bailiff early in the marriage. His faith has been strengthened after seeing so many felony and divorce cases. He decided he wanted his life to be an example for Christ in his profession.

David is a judicial protection professional, martial arts instructor, and founder of Lashley Training Center. With more than two decades of experience operating in high-pressure courtroom environments, he has spent his career studying human behavior, conflict, and decision-making under stress.

Today, David teaches leadership under pressure, situational awareness, and practical self-protection for everyday people. Blending martial arts principles, real-world experience, and mindset development, he helps individuals build confidence, stay calm in chaos, and protect what matters most.

Min. Calyen serves under the leadership of Pastor Rolando West at Fountain of Faith Church, and she has a Nursing Home Ministry.

Min. Calyen is the author of the book: A Widow at Forty-Five: Until Death Do Us Part .

She was a widow for 16 years. She just recently got married after meeting the love of her life, Elder Henry Calyen. They dated for six months and then got married on October 5, 2024.

Pastor Tonyia D. Titus, a native of Washington, D. C., is the wife of Apostle Calvin Titus and the First Lady of House of Prayer Worship Center in Sumter, S.C.

She is a quiet storm, possesses a meek and humble spirit, and exemplifies holiness as a dedicated servant of God. Pastor Tonyia is a woman of prayer, purpose, and perseverance, fulfilling God's divine plan for her life.

Psator Tonyia accepted the Lord at an early age, while attending church with her grandmother. She enjoyed serving God's people as a pulpit attendant, at her home church, as well as, a server at conventions, an usher, a singer in the choir, and a Sunday School teacher/secretary. She has also served as a part of the ministerial staff at the Refreshing Spring Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop James E. Jordan. Pastor Tonyia cherishes working in the ministry alongside her husband. She believes in the scripture: "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might" (Ecclesiastes 9:10a).

Pastor Tonyia is also a podcast host on Women Inspirational Radio's When Queens Bounce Back. God has blessed her to be the founder of When Queens Talk It Out, an outlet that inspires women of all ages to share their stories—the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Pastor Tonyia's mission is to tell her story and minister to others about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

At the age of 5, Pastor Tonyia was struck by a car, suffering head injuries, a broken right leg in three places, a ruptured spleen, and a ruptured left kidney. Despite the trauma and having only one kidney, she survived with a 50/50 chance. She gives thanks for her praying grandmother and God's divine intervention.

Psalm 46:5: "God is within her; she will not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns." This verse beautifully encapsulates the strength and assurance that comes from faith. It's a powerful reminder of God's unwavering presence and support, especially in times of need.

In this awesome beautiful episode, Reverend Renece Weathersby shares her life's journey with us. She candidly addresses her life as a widowed single for 16 years. She addresses several issues and concerns facing singles today.

Do married men see you, single godly woman, as someone to play with on the side? The devil is a liar! We pray you have not fallen into that demonic trap in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Rev. Renece Ann Weathersby was born in Kansas City, Kansas. Her parents relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she and her brother were raised on the westside of Chicago. Rev. Renece was eight years old when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was about sixteen years old when she really understood what salvation was all about. As a youth and teenager, Rev. Renece was actively involved in the choir, Sunday school, and missionary ministry. She always had a deep desire to seek the Lord and to know Jesus for herself.

Rev. Renece got married in 1987 to Howard Eric Weathersby, Sr. They were married for 23 years before the Lord called him home.

Before Howard’s passing, they both faithfully served in children’s church. She eventually became the church director and served in that capacity for many years.

Rev. Renece was called to preach the gospel in 2002. She was licensed on December 25, 2003, and received her Certificate of Ordination on January 25, 2009, at the Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church of Austin in Chicago, Illinois.

Her scripture of blessed assurance to the call of ministry rests in II Timothy 1:9, "I am so glad that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit hath saved me and called me with a holy calling, not according to my work, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given in Christ Jesus before the world began.”

Rev. Renece is a mother and grandmother. She has two sons, Howard Eric, II and Samuel Hayes Weathersby. She also has five beautiful heartbeats that call her Grandma; Drayden, Anaiya, Raylan, VanessaRose and Lucas.

Reverend Renece moved to Houston, Texas July, 2022 and made her membership at The Church Without Walls public, January 8, 2023. She is one of the campus leads for Firm Foundation, member of Kerygma ministry and serves monthly at one of the assisted living homes.

Rev. Renece earned an Associate degree from Malcolm X Junior College in pre-pharmacy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Elementary Education from Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois.

She also earned her MACM (Master of Arts in Christian Ministry) from Northern Seminary, Lisle, Illinois in June 2024.

Rev. Renece has been a widow for 16 years, and it has been some kind of journey. She is here with us today to share her journey.
