In this inspirational and motivational episode, the Bible teaches us from the book of Colossians 1:15-20 that Jesus Christ is the beginning and the initial starting point of all things. He is the beginning of the church.
He formed a whole new humanity, “one New man “, not many, just one. And, it is the Lord’s will and desire for that “one New man”, the church, to walk in unity.
However, the reality of the matter is there is deep division and disunity in the church. It is so sad, unfortunate, and tragic.
One might ask why is there division and disunity in the church? Where does it all stem from? Who is to blame? How does it affect non-believers when they look at the church as a whole?
We pray II Chronicles 7:14 over the church and pray that the Lord will touch our hearts and heal us individually and collectively in Jesus' name , Amen.
In this text, the Word of God, speaks to our hearts and addresses the preeminence of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. It is the cornerstone of our Christian faith.
How do we witness to modern day heretics and skeptics who outright reject Jesus' resurrection from the dead?
We share many scriptures about our living resurrected Savior. He is the one resurrection which all resurrections are founded.
This ancient text also teaches us that the Lord Jesus is the preeminent One and He holds first place in everything.
The question that remains: Does the Lord Jesus hold first place in our hearts?
Are we totally convinced as believers that Jesus Christ is everything we need and all that we need?
