Oh Bloomsbury, What the Dickens! In this episode, we stagger stylishly through Bloomsbury’s backstreets. We visit The Lamb on Conduit Street - named for a 16th-century philanthropist who brought clean water to Londoners, once a watering hole for Charles Dickens and the infamous Bloomsbury Group. Then it’s off to The Queen’s Larder, where Queen Charlotte stashed snacks for a very troubled King George III. It’s a tale of poets, pints, madness, love, and peculiar Victorian features like snob screens and secret cellars.
