Snuggling close. 
Where did you come from?
The Liberty’s Store, long gone now, off Oxford Road, maybe.

There were good times together 
And bad 
such as when a boiling dish once spat its magna over you.
The stain remains.
Even after a high temperature wash. 
You didn’t mind 
We didn’t care in those days about global warming.
