Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Jackson Lundy, Conservation Project Manager with The Land Trust for Tennessee, who highlights the nonprofit conservation organization working statewide to protect land important to the people of Tennessee. From family farms and historic landscapes to public parks and forests, the work of The Land Trust has a lasting impact on people and places from Memphis to Mountain City.

During the interview, Jackson shares how the organization has conserved 135,000 acres of land since its founding in 1999, and how they work directly with landowners, partners and communities to protect places through a range of tools, the most common being the donated conservation easement. Jackson talks about their strategic conservation plan, which was the first statewide conservation plan ever undertaken by a land trust in our nation, which established Conservation Opportunity Regions (CORs) and guides the organizations work. He also covers some places to visit and how the community can enjoy and support their efforts.
