Today is January 4, 2017. Travel back with me to this day in 1943. I hope you didn’t get too comfortable at home, listeners, because just like yesterday we’re back in 1943. But today we’re leaving Red Ruffing to once again join everyone’s favorite baseball czar, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, as he reshapes baseball’s Spring Training landscape in an effort to preserve the game in wartime, and garner some good press for himself in the process.
