There was a grandfather who could speak every language, and his grandson's friends were incredibly excited to meet him. How many languages did he know, and what happened next?

Here are some ways to engage students using this story:

 1.Invite students to share if they speak any language that others might not know, and let them teach a few simple words or phrases to the class. 

 2.Encourage students to create a short, fun story using words from all the languages they know. 

 3.Ask students to talk about their favourite word or phrase in any language and explain what it means and why they like it.
