Larry O'Connor discussed with Merced County Sheriff Warnke the issue of 51-year-old Guadalupe Lopez-Herrera who is an undocumented immigrant that was in jail back in January 2019 but released - who allegedly went on to shoot a deputy following a domestic dispute call. Sheriff Warnke said he would have notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — but state law prohibited him from doing so.
