 Henry Preston is principal violinist with Northern Sinfonia. First chair. A man who has spent his life in pursuit of perfection. Then a routine appointment changes everything. When the music he has devoted his life to begins to betray him, Henry's carefully ordered world starts to unravel. Into that unravelling walks Don — his least promising student — with a violin, an attitude, and no interest whatsoever in doing things Henry's way.
