At the age of 91, Ptolemy Grey is an elderly man whose family, friends, and even himself are forgotten about him. Ptolemy, who is slipping deeper and deeper into a lonely dementia, is given a brief respite from the loneliness, and it is during this brief respite that he solves the mystery surrounding the death of his nephew and comes to terms with his past.
