John Belushi was a comedy genius. Best-known for the gross-out characters he created on SNL and in movies like “Animal House” and “The Blues Brothers.” By the time he was 33, Belushi was on the cusp of super-stardom. But with the spotlights came drug abuse that included a cocaine habit and heroin. On March 5th, 1982, Belushi was found dead in Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont Hotel of an apparent overdose. With information revealed in the official autopsy report, Dr. Michael Hunter investigates his final days and hours to reveal what really killed John Belushi. Next week, Dr. Hunter re-examines the death of The Monkees singer, Davy Jones. We’ll drop a new Autopsy podcast every Wednesday.
