In March 1991, Rodney King was savagely beaten by four white Los Angeles police officers. The incident was caught on camera, and broadcast around the world. The LAPD officers were acquitted triggering the infamous LA Riots. It was King who famously called for peace, asking, “Can we all just get along?” In June of 2012, King was found by his fiancé, face down in his swimming pool.
