Pride is our own worst enemy. Pride will make you turn on the people you love. It will manipulate you, shame you, and ultimately be your death. The opposite of pride is humility. Humility is truly wanting the best for everyone. Humility and charity are inseparable. Go read 1 Corinthians 13. Humility is not selfish, is not easily provoked, and thinks no evil.
